Your credit card provider will have to identify you and make the transfer possible via your cell phone provider. The same information that goes into making your contactless payment card can be used to set up an account in your cell phone.  The same network that securely transmits your phone calls, text messages and ring tones can securely send your payment account information to your cell phone.  Behind the scenes, a trusted third party already working with both mobile operators and credit card issuers will bridge these two worlds, playing a role the industry refers to as a Trusted Service Manager (TSM).
