In April 2010, Facebook launched a new Safety Center, meant to be a resource for parents, educators, teens, and members of the law enforcement community. The site provides answers to general safety and security questions, like how you and your family can be safer on Facebook. Part of the Safety Center is the Facebook Security Page. The Facebook Security Page includes helpful tips and information on how to be safe on Facebook and across the Internet. It's a good idea to review the page every so often to get the latest news on possible threats, malicious applications, and updates to privacy settings.
