We can learn a lot about protecting our phones from viruses based on our experiences with the PC.  The more we make smartphones act like PCs, the more susceptible they’re going to be to these viruses.  The solutions will likely take the same form.  The same companies that make antivirus software for the PC make antivirus solutions for mobile phones.  A good precaution to protect against viruses is to delete suspicious text messages and emails on your smartphone just as you would on your PC.  And never install something that you do not recognize.
