Long Term Evolution, or LTE, is a next-generation wireless broadband network. LTE (3.9G) and LTE Advanced (4G) are heading our way -- mobile operators like Verizon Wireless, AT&T, TeliaSonera, Vodaphone and several others worldwide have announced plans to convert their networks to LTE. LTE will be an all-IP based network, and much faster than its predesessors with download speeds of at least 100 Megabits/second. Much higher network capacity and speeds mean better quality voice and data services, as well as high-definition video capabilities.
